History and Program

Coastal Galleries Piran, in Slovenian: Obalne galerije Piran, in Italian: Gallerie Costiere Pirano, are a group of six public contemporary art galleries. The first ones were established in 1975. Three galleries are located in Piran, two in Koper and one in Venice.

The galleries work as a Center/Museum of Contemporary Art on Slovenian Coast. They promote Slovenian as well as international contemporary artists. They own a rich art collection.
